Image
Hello My Lovely Readers!   Today we will explore how to Shine and Bloom .  A truth is that for a working woman, whether juggling family life or managing things on your own, finding time for self-grooming is challenging. BUT, we should never forget to take care of ourselves amidst life’s demands.  No matter whether you are in your 30’s, 40’s or 50’s, you deserve self-care and self- grooming is an essential part of that. Together, we will discover how we can make self-grooming efficient and enjoyable.  Self-grooming is not just about physical appearance, it also a way to uplift mental health and foster a positive mind set. The first question we should ask ourselves is: Why do we need self-grooming? Self-grooming holds different meanings for different women.  Some believe looking good helps boost their confidence. Some feel self grooming helps them to stay focused. Other thinks that it improves their mood. Many feel it is a great way of reducing stress. Ther...

I Have The Right To Self-Care (Part 2)

It’s not about finding more time; It’s about making time Hello my lovely readers! Today I want to focus on topic that resonates with so many of us working women - self-care (Part 2) . First, Discover What Comforts You Most Self-care looks different for everyone, and it’s essential to figure out what truly brings you comfort. For some, it might be physical self-care like applying a homemade face mask, practicing yoga, going for a walk, or squeezing in a quick workout.  For others, it might be more about emotional self-care —catching up with a friend over coffee, curling up with a good book, indulging in your favourite TV series, or treating yourself to a relaxing massage. The key is to identify what rejuvenates you personally. The truth is, when we make self-care a priority, we can find ways to incorporate it into ou...

I Have the Right to Self-Care (Part 1)

Me, including every working woman out there, understands that it is easy to say ‘SELF-CARE’ but much harder to practice while multitasking. The question comes: Why? For many of us, self-care feels like indulgence or luxury while others feel. guilty when we deprioritise home, kids, work, etc. This definition of selfcare needs to be redefined in our minds. We must remind ourself that prioritising personal well-being is necessary. Whether as a mother, partner or professional, ‘You can’t pour from the empty cup.’ When you feel recharged, you are more patient, positive, and able to give your best to others. From my perspective, there are two major types of Self-Care: Physical Self-Care: Focuses on maintaining physical health through a balanced life-style, nutrition, exercise and self-grooming. Mental/Emotional Self-Care: Focuses on mental well-being through stress management and nurturing inner peace. Let’s discus the challenges that working women can face in prioritising self-care: Many...

I’m not PERFECT!!! But I’m doing my BEST

Image
I’m not perfect but I’m doing my best. I am dedicating this blog to all hardworking women out there who face challenges in their everyday life. Some of us are working moms juggling the pressure of balancing ‘work and home’ and some are single women managing everything ‘solo’. The struggle is real, and I know I am not alone in this. This everyday battle motivates me to start this blog and share thoughts/experiences with my fellow warriors.  I’m a mother of three boys living ‘if not perfect’ but a happy life. There are moments when I feel overwhelmed or guilty for not giving 100%. Sometimes I am late to pick my youngest son from kindergarten, or I miss something important from my eldest son’s schedule. Some days I feel so exhausted that I don't want to put extra effort in organising the stuff at home. But each time I take a deep breath and remind myself that it’s OK. I am not PERFECT but trying to do my BEST and that is enough. If no one else appreciates you, just appreciate y...
